Project description:
3.2.1 The Script will be created in PHP language with MySQL database support and AJAX technology for the user?s profile. Optional use of javascript and flash;
3.2.2 All functionalities of http://www.tourneyref.com including paypal payment processing;
3.2.3 The script should be 100% and validated XHTML & CSS compliant;
3.2.4 Created with function routines for commonly used commands;
3.2.5 Layout design will be similar to: http://www.mp3.com/ ;
3.2.6 Template driven: See phpBB script with the way their templates are setup (/phpBB2/templates/templatename) and the use of .tpl (i.e. overall_header.tpl, overall_footer.tpl, etc?) and CSS. The developer may even use the same CSS files that are distributed with phpBB, so that users/buyers of the Script can download phpBB styles and use it for their site;
Ideally, the site where the Script will be sold should be able to provide different styles for the script buyers that they can drop in a template directory (similar to phpBB) to change the look of their website instantly (configurable from the Admin Panel);
3.2.7 Coordinate and co-chair with us counterpart, the project team meetings;
3.2.8 Provide weekly update on status and progress of the project, to be posted in a forum setup by us.
3.2.9 Should be cross-browser compatible (At least with current versions of Microsoft IE, FireFox, and Netscape);
3.2.10 Full GD support;
3.2.11 Use of a language file that are editable from the ADMIN Panel. We want to make sure that all words in the script visible to the users can be translated from a language file. This includes all the Menus and generic words used across the site;
3.2.12 Password authentication should be MD5 encrypted;
3.2.13 Should be written with very tight security implementation.
3.2.14 Registration should involve email verification with option to disable this from the ADMIN panel. Signup process will be similar to http://www.vidilife.com;
3.2.15 ADMIN panel will have functionalities to manage all pages of the site (i.e. users, reports, tournaments, etc?) including (but not limited to) editing site configuration, editing site content, deleting users, banning IP, member snoop, read all mail, adjust ratings, manage photos, option to approve uploaded photos before making them available to the public, add featured member, manage ads and install new stylesheet template;
3.2.16 The script should have the capability to record user sessions, IP and associate it with the user ID/name for security tracking purposes;
3.2.17 Personal profile page (similar to http://www.tagworld.com, http://www.myspace.com & http://www.forpals.com) with full CSS support using the CSS class used by myspace.com (The idea is that users can go to a site like http://www.mygen.co.uk, copy a profile template that can be used for myspace and make it work for the script).
3.2.18 Hottest gamer photo (similar to http://www.gamebattles.com) ;
3.2.19 Friends list (similar to http://www.forpals.com) ;
3.2.20 Block users (similar to http://www.myspace.com) ;
3.2.21 Guestbook (similar to http://www.forpals.com) ;
3.2.22 User notifications for comments, friends invite, PM, tournaments, etc? that can be turned off by the users from their profile settings.
3.2.23 Ads will be displayed throughout the site and ad management should be done from the ADMIN panel. Please see ForPals.com?s Admin panel for example;
3.2.24 Latest version of phpBB can be used as the forum for the Script. Only if a bridge can be created between the Script and phpBB where users can login to the Script and have access to the forum without logging in again to phpBB.
NOTE: phpBB will not be distributed with this script. The Script should be created that it does not rely on phpBB functions in case the phpBB forum will be replaced by in-house forum. Due to licensing, phpBB can not be distributed with the Script and to minimize issues when phpBB is no longer available or has critical patches that needs to be done to it, users can do the updates themselves and does not impact the functionalities and usability of the Script;
3.2.25 Internal Private Messaging. phpBB PM can be used for this functionalities as long as it is seamlessly integrated with the script and very minor modifications done to phpBB;
3.2.26 Some sort of authentication will be built into the script to prevent hackers and others to distribute the script without our PRIOR consent. Preferred method will be ZEND optimization of the Admin Panel and Function Routines;
3.2.27 Install script will be included to automate the Script installation.
3.2.28 Codes will be well documented and commented;

Upon acceptance of this our Service Agreement we will post a deposit in escrow at lanceboard.com for the amount of $700.00. Funds will only be released upon satisfactory completion of the project. |
